Employee Feature: Barry Gagnon

We would like you to meet our employee, Barry Gagnon. Barry is an Account Executive in our Oklahoma City branch, and Barry has worked for ES2 for fourteen years.

Are you originally from Oklahoma?

I was born in the old Mercy Hospital in downtown OKC and raised in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Tell me what your experience working at ES2 has been like?

I have always loved being at ES2 as it is like family to me. Some of us have been together in the industry for over 20 years. I have been blessed to be a part of some amazing projects, with my last in the field as the Project Manager for the Devon Tower. I have since moved to an Account Executive to spend time with our customers.

What certifications, training, or degrees do you have?

I am the licensed Electrical Contractor for ES2.

Are you a member of any organizations?

I am a member of the International Facility Management Association, also known as IFMA.

Describe a typical day at work for you?

My days begin around 4 AM. My childhood made me an early riser. I check all emails and confirm what I have for the day. As an Account Executive, my responsibility is to take care of our customers, which include mechanical contractors, architects, engineers, and owners. I assist owners with energy solutions for their facilities and work with all others for contracting of new projects.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

I really enjoy meeting new people as well as spending time with those in the industry that I have known for a very long time.

Do you have any hobbies outside of work?

My hobby is the men's ministry (True North Ministries) that I am blessed to serve. I am not sure if this is my hobby or my calling, but I love it!

Are you a sports fan? If so, what sports and who are your favorite teams?

Golf is probably my favorite sport, even though my back will no longer allow me to participate other than golf cart duty. I enjoy watching it on TV also. I support both of our state universities but bleed red during bedlam!

Tell us about your family?

I am married and have two children who have blessed me with 5 grandchildren!
