We would like you to meet our employee, Amy Gomes. Amy is the BAS Operations Coordinator in our Oklahoma City branch, and Amy has worked for ES2 for three years.
Are you originally from Oklahoma?
I was born and raised in California and have lived in Michigan, Nevada, and Florida prior to Oklahoma.
Tell me what your experience working with ES2 has been like?
It has been very rewarding. I have a lot to learn coming into this technical and complex industry, and everyone I've encountered has been generous and patient with sharing their knowledge. The variety of our customers, coupled with the myriad of applications of WEBCTRL is fascinating to see and be a part of.
What certifications, training, or degrees do you have?
Bachelor of Arts in Communications Photography from California State University, Fullerton. I have taken ES2's Automated Logic accredited Owner Operator I class on WebCtrl.
Describe a typical day at work for you?
As a coordinator, I interface with various departments, teams, and customers every day. I work to help fill in any gaps in deliverables and communication, connect teams when needed, organize meetings, follow up on open items between teams and departments, and track and promote the progress of the BAS department's long-term initiatives. My objective is to facilitate and ensure our operations run smoothly in any way I can.
What is your favorite aspect of your job?
Our company is growing, but it is still at a size where I am able to collaborate with a wide range of roles, from our field teams to our ownership. I enjoy working together to bring a new idea to life or to develop solutions to the challenges we face.
Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I am on the leadership team for my neighborhood association in the Paseo Arts District - it's a social organization focused on helping neighbors to meet one another and build a community, not a formal HOA. My husband and I like to spend time outdoors, camping, hiking, kayaking, and disc golfing. We still have a lot of discovering to do in Oklahoma and the US. We enjoy traveling to see family and friends around the world, too. I play piano, swing dance, snowboard, and water ski.
Tell us about your family?
Ray and I are celebrating our seventh wedding anniversary this September. We love being an aunt and uncle and are pet parents to a very spoiled orange tabby, Nova the Battle Cat.
