We would like you to meet our employee Xavier Meisinger. Xavier is part of our Commissioning department for our Oklahoma City branch and has worked for ES2 for 5 years. In his time with ES2, he has worked his way from a Control Installer I to becoming a NEBB Building System Commissioning Certified Professional. That makes him 1 of only 365 currently certified BSC CP in the world. Xavier spends his time outside of work with his wife of 11 years, Samantha, and his two daughters Sky and Olivia. He’s a sports fan and enjoys attending OU football games and OKC Thunder games.
Tell us what your experience working with ES2 has been?
When I first started with ES2, I was very new to the commercial HVAC field. I came from an audio and electronics background, and seeing how specialized ES2’s services were was overwhelming. I have benefited from ES2’s in-house training and NEBB seminars, and I felt those helped prepare me for my job and the certification process.
Describe a typical day at work for you?
I typically have two types of workdays. One of my days is spent on the job site commissioning systems and communicating with owners and contractors. Some of the services I will perform on-site to confirm that everything meets best practices standards are Field Installation Verification (FIV), Function Performance Testing (FPT), and Reviewing Design Documents. My other type of day is spent in office managing reports and multiple project schedules.
What was your favorite job you worked on?
A job that stands out to me was the University of Oklahoma Residential College project. It was my first project I got to see from start to completion. Although I worked in every single one of the 700 dorm rooms I mostly remember the beautiful campus.
Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy brewing my own beer. As a team-building exercise, some ES2 employees went to a location brewery and learned some brewing techniques.
